In the wake of the deteriorating situation in Bangladesh Patel Pijush Purushottam Das,IPS, Inspector General (IG) of the Border Security Force (BSF) Tripura Frontier, visited North Tripura’s Bagbassa Helipad on Friday morning.
The IG’s visit was aimed at reviewing the security arrangements and assessing the situation in the Indo-Bangla border areas of North Tripura district. During his inspection, he directed BSF personnel to remain highly vigilant in the border areas and take necessary measures to ensure the security of the region.
The visit comes amidst rising tensions in Bangladesh. The IG’s visit is seen as a measure to alert the borders of Tripura and ensure that the BSF personnel are prepared to handle any situation that may arise due to the prevailing circumstances in Bangladesh.
The BSF has been on high alert along the Indo-Bangla border in view of the recent developments in Bangladesh. The force has strengthened its vigilance and surveillance along the border to prevent any illegal activities or infiltration.
