Today, an anti-plastic drive under the “Swachhta Pakhwada” initiative was launched in the Bandipora market, led by ACR Bandipora and Tehsildar Bandipora. During this campaign, shopkeepers and street vendors were instructed not to use polythene bags. They were informed about the significant climate changes caused by plastic usage, contributing to the heat we experience today. The vendors were urged to use reusable bags to ensure environmental protection.
Reusable bags were also distributed in the market to encourage immediate adoption. The people of Bandipora appreciated this initiative and assured their cooperation in environmental conservation. The administration stated that the cleanliness drive would continue, and strict action would be taken against violators.
