The 62nd Foundation Day of Bharat Vikas Parishad was observed on Wednesday with a grand ceremony held at the Ardhendu Bhattacharya Smriti Bhavan in the North Tripura District Sadar Dharmanagar.
The program was graced by the presence of North District Superintendent of Police Bhanupada Chakraborty as the chief guest, along with the North District RSS Chief Pradip Debbarma and others.
The welcome address was delivered by the organization’s Secretary Supta Purkayastha, she highlighted the organization’s establishment and activities in Dharmanagar. She elaborated on how the organization has been working tirelessly since 1963 for the upliftment of the marginalized and oppressed sections of society. The address also shed light on the organization’s ongoing efforts to reach out to the neglected and abused people in remote villages.
The North District Superintendent of Police Bhanupada Chakraborty emphasized the crucial role of the youth in a nation’s progress. He acknowledged the strength of India’s youth but cautioned against the destructive influence of foreign powers seeking to derail their potential. He highlighted the dangers of drug addiction and the concerted efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha to create a drug-free Tripura.
Chakraborty lauded the police’s relentless anti-drug campaigns including awareness camps to educate the public about the harmful effects of drug abuse. He acknowledged the ongoing anti-drug operations in North District but stressed the need for continuous vigilance and public awareness to safeguard society and ensure a secure future for the next generation.
Superintendent Chakraborty urged everyone to unite against drug abuse and build a strong resistance. He commended Bharat Vikas Parishad for its selfless service to society and its unwavering commitment to the betterment of humanity.
