
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Tripura Pradesh organized a road show on July 29 at morning in support of its candidates for the upcoming three-tier panchayat elections at the Khilpara and West Khilpara Gram Panchayats under the Radhakishorepur Assembly Constituency in Tripura.
The procession which began around 8 AM this morning from Khilpara market saw the participation of several high-profile BJP leaders including State Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy, BJP District President Abhishek Debroy and Mandal President Prabir Das as well as the chairperson of Udaipur Municipal Council Shital Chandra Majumder.
The road show winding through various villages in the Khilpara area aimed to drum up support for the party’s nominees in the upcoming three-tier panchayat elections.
While speaking with the media persons Finance Minister Roy emphasized the party’s commitment to women’s empowerment.
“This time, we’re witnessing the formation of a women-led Khilpara Panchayat,” Roy stated. He highlighted the 50% reservation for women in the three-tier panchayat system describing it as a step towards “future development and governance by women.”
The event saw enthusiastic participation from BJP karyakartas and supporters across Khilpara area indicating strong grassroots mobilization for the party in the Udaipur Sub-division.
