A grand Rath Yatra was organized on Sunday at the Joynagar Higher Secondary School ground in Sanicherra. Nine beautifully decorated raths participated in the procession with each team showcasing their traditional attire and cultural performances.
In this event Hari Gopal Banerjee’s Rath, Buddha Chandra Sharma’s Rath, Joy Mohan Sharma’s Rath, Dinabandhu Sharma’s Rath, Gour Mohan Sharma’s Rath, Bhabna Sharma’s Rath, Krishna Gopal Sharma’s Rath, Amala Kanta Sharma’s Rath, and Robi Sharma’s Rath were participated.
A committee was formed to oversee the event, Abani Kumar Singha as the president, Akhil Kumar Singha as the secretary, Rajib Singha and Aruna Kumar Singha as the joint secretaries and Manihar Singha as the treasurer.
The overall responsibility for the event’s success lay with Rana Singha, who is the head of Mahadev Tapasthali Vedic Ashram. The judging panel that ensured the smooth running of the event included Ranajoy Deb, Dilip Kumar Deb
