Despite increasingly strict traffic police laws, fatal road accidents in various parts of the state are not decreasing in any way. Once again, in a similar road accident one person was killed and three were injured in a collision between a bike and a Alto car on the Agartala-Sabroom national highway at the Charilam, Madhya Para area under Bishalgarh Police Station in Tripura.

It has been learned that on Sunday night, a bike with registration number TR-07H-4707 and a Alto car bearing the registration number TR-01AC-0452 collided on the national highway at the Charilam, Madhya Para area. In this incident, three people including the driver of the Alto car were severely injured and the bike rider died on the spot.
According to eyewitnesses around 8:30 PM on Sunday, a man identified as Kartik Datta, a resident of Charilam’s Rajib Colony area was on his way to Charilam market on his bike when a speeding Alto car coming from the opposite direction collided head-on with the bike. As a result, bike rider Datta was thrown off and died on the spot.
On the other hand, Sajal Chakraborty, Sandipan Chakraborty and Lokesh Roy who were in the Alto car were severely injured.
Witnessing the accident the locals wasted no time to inform the Bishalgarh Fire Service, and after being informed the Fire Service personnel immediately arrived to the accident spot and brought them to the Bishalgarh Sub-divisional Hospital.
Meanwhile, the Bishalgarh Police Station officials were arrived to the scene soon after they learned about the accident and took the deceased’s body to the Bishalgarh Sub-divisional Hospital’s morgue for post-mortem examination.
The police officials also seized the car and bike and took them to the police station. Regarding this matter, the police has initiated an investigation by filing a case. It has been learned from hospital sources that the body of the deceased Kartik Datta will be handed over to his family members on Monday after the post-mortem examination.
