Tripura CM Dr Manik Saha Mourns Demise of Former West Bengal CM Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee
Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha expressed deep condolences on the demise of former West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee, who passed away at his Kolkata residence on Sunday.
In a condolence message Saha said, “Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee was associated with the politics of West Bengal for a long time. He served as a minister in various departments of the West Bengal government and later became the Chief Minister of the state. With his demise, West Bengal has lost an experienced, honest, renowned writer, seasoned politician, and administrator. His contributions to the state’s development will be remembered for years to come.”
Saha praised Bhattacharjee’s leadership and vision saying, “He was a true leader who dedicated his life to the service of the people. His commitment to social justice and equality was unwavering, and his legacy will continue to inspire future generations.”
The Chief Minister also extended his sympathy to the bereaved family members, saying, “I offer my deepest condolences to the family of Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee. May they find strength and solace in this difficult time.”
Bhattacharjee’s passing has left a void in West Bengal’s political landscape, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him. His legacy, however, will live on through the countless lives he touched and the many initiatives he undertook during his tenure as Chief Minister.
