In a heartwarming initiative, the Central University of Jharkhand’s Manatu Campus hosted a tree plantation drive named “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam,” organized by the NSS Unit in collaboration with ” CUJians ” and the non-governmental organization ” TEAM GREEN “.The event, held on July 25, 2024, focused on planting saplings as an initiative to combat climate change and fostering a greener, healthier campus environment.
The campaign kicked off at the administrative premises near the Swami Vivekananda statue and the UG Boys Hostel, where over 100 saplings were planted.Dr. Ravi Ranjan Kumar, the NSS Coordinator, added, “The participation of students and the enthusiasm they’ve shown is commendable. This drive is a step towards a sustainable future, and I am proud to see such dedication in our youth.”The plantation drive concluded with a pledge ceremony, where students vowed their efforts.
